It was dusk as he and his escort enter into Hawkcrest from the forest. They'd have arrived within the human settlement sooner but hunger had grown within their stomachs. Hunger that had just happen to set in as group of merchants crossed their paths. Gideon didn't enjoy senseless violence, but when the thirst for blood began creep inside one's mind it was hard for any vampire to ignore. Especially when that vampire had spent years starving, and praying for just the tiniest drop of crimson liquid. So they slaughtered the merchants and drank them dry. Afterwards Gideon and his escort had taken the time to clean up the bodies form the side of the road. Having other humans stumble across your kills was an easy way to find yourself at the pointy end of a wooden stake. It was actual cleaning up of the bodies that made them arrive so late, but regardless they were here.
Gideon arms stood folded against chest as they stood near the entrance to the large settlement. Hawkcrest was a stark contrast to the rest of the forest it inhabited, but it still managed to keep itself in tune with the nature around it. Finding balance like that was something hard to accomplish, especially considering the nature of humans. Humanity had a gift for destroying things; and he imagined it would only be a matter of time before Hawkcrest found itself drifting away from the unity it had managed to create. The vampire let out a low scoff and moved a hand through his brown locks, before turning his attention towards the vampire-elf next to him. "I believe I can handle it from a Shara. Thank you for escorting me, I don't think I'd have found my way here otherwise." it was the simple truth. He now longer knew the world around him like he once had, but that was something he going to fix.
"As you wish my liege, but before I go is there anything else I can assist you with?" the vampire-high elf bowed her head slightly and put kept her green eyes locked on Gideon. Who simply waved his hand at her and chuckled, "No, return to the manor and let the others know it be might some time before my return." Shara gave a nod of her before turning around to leave. She had only made it a couple a feet away from Gideon before he spoke to her once more, "Oh and please remind everyone that should I return and things aren't how I left them..." his golden eyes grew dark and filled with anger and murderous intent, "That there will be hell to pay." Gideon watched as Shara's entire body shook with fear.
"Y-yes my liege." and then she was gone, living Gideon alone at the entrance to Hawkcrest. The vampire let out a heavy sigh as strolled into the human town, spears strapped firmly to his back. Things within the vampire community were tense and bordering on civil war at any moment. One probably would have already happened if a few of them hadn't been smarter enough to wake Gideon from his slumber. Still, his reputation would only keep them in check for so long. Which meant he needed to do several things before things became too much for him to handle. The first of those things being to acquire some allies, and the second being to sire more vampire. He also needed to speak with the Werewolf Alpha to ensure that the peace between the two of them stayed in tact. The first two things were going to be far easier and less of a headache than the last. Which is why he was taking care of them first.
He approached the entrance of one of the many taverns that were dotted across Hawkcrest. This one's name being The Bloody Harpy. The moments he pushed open the doors he was greeted with the robust sounds of a busy establishment. He chuckled. One thing never changed about humans, and that was their desire to drink and party. Gideon approached the counter and smiled at the wench behind it, "LET'S GET A ROUND OF YOUR FINEST ALE TO ENTIRE TAVERN!" he shouted as he throw a large pouch of gold onto the table. The entire tavern began to cheer and Gideon gripped hold of his own mug, turning himself around to examine the people within The Bloody Harpy. Time to see which of them stood out the most...
