The patrol she was on for the night was a simple one, just walk one of the more secluded areas of the forest and make sure no beasts try and attack. Goddess knows they don't want that, especially so soon after the treaty signing. Grim beasts have been seen recently, but she only had an hour left before her replacement would arrive. So far the night had been quiet, the no monsters, only a pair of wolves who knew better than to mess with an elf in armor. They had passed on with little more than a glare.
Taking another lap around her patrol area, Faren noticed something new, different. A figure was walking around her part of the forest, an obvious look of misdirection on his face. "Hail stranger." She called out to the lost person. She gripped her sword hilt as she approached the stranger.
